Contract Opportunity: Exhibit Installer / Finish Carpenter
Reports To: VP of Operations
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Exhibit Installer / Finish Carpenter for an upcoming installation at a newly built museum in Tulsa, OK. The engagement runs from the week of July 7th through mid‑September, with potential follow‑up work in October through December. This is a 1099 contract position, and no employment agreement with Downtown Fabworks is implied or extended.
Responsibilities
Safe handling, transport, and placement of finished custom display components including platforms, pedestals, and cabinetry
Final assembly and installation of fabricated elements, including anchoring to floors and walls
Touch‑ups, site modifications, and fine finish carpentry as needed
Careful, detail‑oriented work in a museum environment - treating all pieces and surroundings with appropriate care
Some heavy lifting required
Key Attributes
A strong candidate will have experience in one or more of the following: museum installation or art handling, exhibit fabrication, fine finish carpentry or cabinetry, or trade show / experiential install work.
Requirements
This position requires extended periods of kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, and the ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
