CNC Machinist

NEUMAN & ESSER-Stasskol Production USA-Katy, TX is seeking for an additional Machinist-CNC-Horizontal Lathes & Vertical Mills to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities:

• Operate CNC vertical mills, CNC horizontal lathes, and various other machine shop tools
• Setup and Operate/Edit CNC programs on 5 Axis vertical mill. (Haas UMC)
• Plan the sequence of necessary actions for the machining of production orders.
• Knowledge of the manufacturing process of industrial compressor components.
• Machining of components while maintaining a tolerance of <.001”.
• Proficient reading and interpretation of manufacturing drawings and repair standards in both metric and imperial dimensions.
• Ability to create a clear and precise written description of component conditions and dimensional readings.
• Proficient use of precision measuring instruments during the inspection of all critical dimensions.

Required Experience and Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years’ experience working in a repair machine shop environment.
• Strong familiarization with all common industry safety practices, environmental requirements and manufacturing procedures.
• Familiarization with industry Lean Manufacturing and 5S practices and procedures.
• Willingness and ability to work extended hours including weekends and holidays if required.
• Must understand materials, cutting tools, speed and feeds, coolant requirements and machining techniques.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $26-$30 per hour depend on experiences.
