The Quality Inspector plays a critical role in ensuring that aircraft maintenance and repair work meet FAA regulations, OEM specifications, and company policies. This position focuses on performing thorough inspections of aircraft, components, and documentation to uphold airworthiness standards and enhance safety.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct technical inspections during the aircraft production process to ensure compliance with manufacturer operational requirements.
  • Perform visual, incoming, first article, and final inspections during aircraft manufacture to verify adherence to design specifications and certification requirements.
  • Document technical inspections within multiple production orders using SAP-based systems, completing inspection marks and preparing first article inspection reports as necessary.
  • Assist production and customer support teams to maintain high standards while carrying out aircraft tasks and respond to quality survey requests.
  • Compile technical data for non-conformance reports to initiate assessments based on manufacturing engineering documentation.
  • Record all inspection results in the NCMS/SAP-based IT system.
  • Possess a general understanding of SAP documentation and reporting systems.
  • Review work packs to ensure process adherence and manage components during the attestation process.
  • Familiarize yourself with calibrated tooling for inspections.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Quality Inspector in an aviation company, focusing on mechanical, electrical, and structural components and assemblies.
  • Previous experience in a mechanic or technician role is highly desirable.
  • Experience in airlines and/or MRO is preferred.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Preferred: FAA Airframe & Powerplant License; A&P license including inspection authorization is a plus.
