An experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with expertise in telespeech and teletherapy is sought for a school-based contract role located in Rockville, MD, within the Washington, DC area. This opportunity involves providing virtual speech-language therapy services for elementary to middle school students throughout the academic year, from August 25, 2026, to June 11, 2027. The position requires alignment with Eastern Standard Time and offers a flexible schedule of 35 hours per week over three full days.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver virtual speech-language therapy services to school-aged children with caseloads ranging from approximately 40 to 57 students depending on assignment.
- Collaborate with supervisors to receive caseload assignments tailored to experience and geographic location.
- Maintain compliance with state regulations and educational standards.
- Conduct assessments, implement individualized treatment plans, and monitor student progress.
- Communicate effectively with educators, families, and other professionals to support student outcomes.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Active Maryland SLP license.
- Minimum of three years of virtual school-based speech therapy experience, with at least two years within the past five years post-COVID.
- Proficiency in telespeech and teletherapy service delivery platforms.
- Ability to work Eastern Standard Time hours.
- Successful completion of a technical screening.
- Capability to obtain necessary background checks and credentialing as required by state law and school district policies.
Additional Requirements:
- Submission of a current resume, images of licensure, and professional references.
- Compliance with time-sensitive credentialing requirements, including a House Bill background check.
