Store Cashier
Join our team at ALDI as a Cashier or Stocker and contribute to enhancing the customer experience. Collaborating with others, you'll operate machinery and registers, restock shelves, maintain store appearance, and assist customers.
Position Type: Part-Time
The Standard Allowance: Less Than 30 Hours per Week
A rate of $18.50 per hour is provided to novices in the workforce
Duties and Responsibilities:

- Participates in group projects and relays pertinent information to their immediate supervisor

Cashier Responsibilities:
- Carries out sales transactions, undertakes regular cleaning chores, sets-up shop displays and showcases products in a visually appealing manner
- Customers receive top-notch customer service to facilitate their shopping experience
- Provides regular feedback to management regarding the store's inventory, including issues with product labeling, scanning, and other inventory-related discrepancies
- Contributes to the process of store inventory counting by following the prescribed guidelines and monitoring inventory precision
- Effective management of cash can be achieved by strictly following the policies and procedures designed to minimize losses
Stocker Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the products on display are always fresh and of premium quality by regularly restocking and rotating
- By adhering to a predetermined merchandising planogram, effective and visually stimulating product displays can be created with ease
- Efficiently organising new arrivals and disposing of vacant containers by disassembling them is vital
- This position demands proficiency in using machinery and a thorough understanding of safety procedures
Physical Demands:
- The store demands its employees to perform a diverse range of physical activities such as sitting, standing, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking
- Stocking Professional: Capability to transfer store items from the receiving unit to the shelves; expertise in arranging products, which may weigh up to 45 pounds, on shelves at varying elevations
Qualifications:
- To be considered for this task, the applicant must have crossed the minimum age limit of 18 years

- Ability to perform routine cleaning tasks to meet the cleanliness benchmarks of the company

Education and Experience:
- The preference is for candidates holding a high school diploma or its equivalent
- Having a history of working in a retail setting is advantageous
