Industrial Journeyman Electrician

Seeking a qualified Journeyman Electrician for a full-time position at a 24/7 manufacturing facility in Louisville, KY

1st Shift: 7A – 330P

2nd Shift: 3P – 11P (+$2.25 shift differential)

3rd Shift: 11P – 7A (+$2.50 shift differential)

  • Will work 40 hours that will include holidays and weekends.
  • If weekend work happens, you will get days off during the week to stay at 40 hours.
  • OT may be needed, but not predictable

Necessary Skills & Abilities:

  • New Team Members must be available to work any shift, weekends, and holidays. A set shift will not be determined until after an initial 3-month training period. The plant operates on a continuous basis. Individual work schedules are typically 40 hours per week
  • Must be able to troubleshoot equipment failures and maintain electrical and electronic equipment related to systems such as material handling, crushing, screening, pneumatic, hydraulic, and pumping systems.
  • Required to calibrate weighing equipment such as tares on weigh belts and impact plates, and atmospheric monitoring equipment such as gas analyzers, and other related equipment.
  • Must be able to analyze circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings for electrical or electronic systems and equipment.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Allen Bradley PLC and input work orders in a computer are required.
  • Licensed Electrician that follows National Electrical Code, manuals, schematic diagrams, blueprints.
  • High School equivalent education and 3 years sustained work experience in a manufacturing, industrial environment is required.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen (pre-hire & random).
  • Prompt and daily attendance with reliable transportation is a must. Your team members rely on you.

Environment:

  • Very dirty/dusty work environment
  • Electrical ARC furnace that is the main function of the facility.
  • They molt their product then hardens into a rock and then is crushed and shipped.
  • Temperature is the same as outside: Hot in the summer, cooler in the winter.
  • Product is a skin irritant with sweat and/or water. Long Sleeve PPE is necessary
