Position Overview

Laville Cabinets, the 2025 Best of BR Cabinet Shop, is a growing, team-oriented cabinet manufacturer located in Baton Rouge, LA, with approximately 30 employees. We serve both high end residential and commercial contractors throughout Baton Rouge, New Orleans, and the Northshore markets.

We are seeking an experienced Cabinet Maker who takes pride in craftsmanship, works well in a team environment, and is eager to continue developing their skills.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Measure, cut, assemble, and install custom cabinets and millwork
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and accurately
• Ensure all work meets quality standards and project timelines
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety policies and shop procedures

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of cabinet-making experience (no entry-level candidates)
• Strong ability to read drawings and use woodworking tools
• Solid understanding of cabinet construction methods (frameless, face frame, etc.)
• Experience working with MDF, plywood, hardwoods, and laminates
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively
• Physical ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience operating CNC equipment (preferred, not required)
• Knowledge of finishing techniques and hardware installation
• Valid driver’s license (if fieldwork or deliveries are required)
