Chris Preble from Robert Half is working with a Syracuse client of his that has a hybrid accounting/HR role. The HR work is not advanced. It's basically to make up for the fact there's not enough accounting work to make it 40 hours so they're splitting up the role 50/50 ish between accounting and HR. Work life balance is great here and it's a very stable organization.Accounting General Accounting SupportMaintain organized financial recordsAssist with fiscal year-end close (October–November)Provide support for reporting and special projects as neededAccounts Receivable (A/R)Apply customer payments accurately and timelyProcess customer credit card payments for ordersPrepare and distribute daily customer invoicesRespond to customer email inquiries (invoice copies, payment status, etc.)Conduct collections follow-up on past-due accountsAccounts Payable (A/P)Code and enter vendor invoicesProcess invoices for paymentPrepare and mail vendor checks weeklyHuman Resources Administrative Support Maintain employee files and documentationAssist with onboarding paperwork and new hire documentationSupport benefits administration tasks (forms, updates, enrollments)Track PTO and employee recordsAssist with basic payroll coordination (if applicable)Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee information
