Full-Time Caregiver Needed – Great Opportunity for a College Student!

I’m looking for a dependable, caring, and reliable caregiver for a full-time position.

Schedule:

  • Full-time daytime and evening hours available

until the first week of August.

  • Beginning after the first week of August, then

schedule will transition to consistent after-school hours on weekdays, with flexible weekend hours.

Requirements:

  • Must be reliable, punctual, and compassionate.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Must have dependable transportation.
  • Experience caring for children is preferred. Experience with autism is a plus.

The position is located in the East Baton Rouge area.

Responsibilities

  • Provide attentive patient observation to monitor health status and respond promptly to changes.
  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
  • Support clients that is Non-verbal with autism through compassionate engagement.
  • Operate Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems to document care activities meticulously.
  • Maintain a clean environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks including laundry and meal preparation.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications

  • Prior assisted living or home healthcare experience is highly desirable, especially with geriatric or disabled populations.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, medication administration, and basic life support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred.
  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks associated with caregiving in case of eloping.
  • Strong communication skills for effective patient interaction and documentation accuracy.
  • Familiarity with home & community care regulations ensures compliance with industry standards.
  • Compassionate attitude combined with patience for working with young disabled clients on the spectrum.
