We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Passenger Transportation Operator (CDL) to safely transport passengers between designated service locations. This position combines professional driving expertise with exceptional customer service to ensure every ride is safe, comfortable, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities of a Passenger Transportation Operator (CDL):
Transportation Services
- Safely transport passengers on established routes and schedules
- Follow all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations
- Maintain dependable schedule performance while prioritizing passenger safety
- Monitor road, traffic, and weather conditions to ensure safe operations
- Practice defensive driving techniques and uphold safe operating standards
Passenger Support & Customer Service
- Provide courteous, professional, and respectful service to all passengers
- Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles as needed
- Operate wheelchair lifts, ramps, and other accessibility equipment safely
- Properly secure wheelchairs and mobility devices according to established procedures
- Answer questions regarding routes, schedules, and services
- Communicate service updates and route information when necessary
Vehicle Safety & Maintenance
- Complete comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Inspect brakes, lights, tires, mirrors, emergency equipment, and other critical components
- Report maintenance concerns, safety issues, and mechanical problems promptly
- Keep vehicles clean, presentable, and ready for daily operation
Recordkeeping & Compliance
- Maintain accurate driver logs and required operational records
- Document incidents, accidents, and service-related concerns
- Complete passenger count and operational reports as required
- Ensure compliance with company policies and transportation regulations
Qualifications of a Passenger Transportation Operator (CDL):
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with Passenger (P) endorsement
- Safe driving history and commitment to passenger safety
- Previous experience operating shuttle buses, transit vehicles, or passenger transportation services preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent customer service mindset
- Ability to remain calm and professional in changing or challenging situations
- Basic knowledge of vehicle inspections and transportation safety procedures
Physical Requirements
- Ability to assist passengers and operate accessibility equipment
- Lift, carry, or move up to 45 pounds when necessary
- Remain seated for extended periods while operating a vehicle
- Ability to work in varying weather and roadway conditions
- Perform bending, reaching, climbing, and vehicle inspection activities
Schedule
Split Shift
- Morning Shift: 5:00 AM – 8:00 AM
- Evening Shift: 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Availability for both shifts is required.
