Role Description The Home Health Aide (HHA) at Evergreen Assisted Living Homes is a full-time, on-site role based in Edina, MN. The HHA provides direct support with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and safe mobility, while promoting each resident’s dignity and independence. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting with personal care routines, monitoring and reporting changes in residents’ condition, and supporting basic patient care needs in collaboration with nursing and care staff. The HHA also helps with light household tasks related to resident care, supports residents during meals, and participates in social and recreational activities to foster engagement and emotional well-being. Consistent, compassionate presence and clear communication with residents, families, and colleagues are essential to this role.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Home Care and Patient Care, with experience supporting older adults or individuals needing assistance.
- Proficiency in Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and safe transfers.
- Ability to provide respectful, person-centered Personal Care that honors each resident’s cultural background and preferences.
- Must stay awake on all shifts
- Strong Communication skills, including clear verbal communication, active listening, and professional documentation.
- Valid HHA or CNA certification (or equivalent), in accordance with Minnesota regulations.
- Ability to work on-site for full-time shifts, including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
- Experience in assisted living, memory care, or home care settings is preferred.
- Comfort working in a multicultural environment; multilingual abilities, especially Korean or other relevant languages, are a plus.
- Reliable transportation, punctuality, and the ability to perform the physical aspects of caregiving (lifting, standing, and walking).
