Project Manager – Industrial Construction & MiningPosition Summary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Project Manager to oversee industrial construction and mining projects from initial planning through successful completion. The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can effectively manage field crews, maintain project schedules, communicate with customers and internal teams, and ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.

This position requires a hands-on professional who is comfortable working in both the field and office while building strong relationships with clients and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Manage multiple industrial construction and mining projects simultaneously.
  • Plan, organize, and oversee all phases of project execution.
  • Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and within budget.
  • Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues impacting production or timelines.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.

Team Leadership

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise field personnel and project teams.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide regular coaching, performance feedback, and employee development.
  • Conduct employee training and ensure crews understand company policies, safety procedures, and project expectations.

Scheduling & Workforce Management

  • Develop and maintain project schedules and manpower plans.
  • Coordinate labor, equipment, subcontractors, and materials.
  • Review and approve employee time entries while ensuring accurate labor tracking.
  • Adjust schedules as project demands change.

Office & Client Coordination

  • Serve as the primary liaison between field operations and the internal office.
  • Coordinate purchasing, invoicing, payroll, project documentation, and reporting.
  • Maintain strong communication with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal departments.
  • Conduct regular project meetings and provide status updates.

Estimating & Business Development

  • Perform job walks and site evaluations.
  • Prepare estimates, proposals, and competitive project bids.
  • Identify project risks and develop execution strategies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and representing the company professionally.

Safety & Quality

  • Promote and enforce company safety policies and regulatory compliance.
  • Ensure all work meets company quality standards and customer expectations.
  • Conduct site inspections and identify opportunities for improved productivity and safety.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in industrial construction, mining, heavy civil, or related industries.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience preparing estimates, bids, and project proposals.
  • Knowledge of industrial construction methods, equipment, and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Ability to read construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field (or equivalent industry experience).
  • Experience with mining operations or industrial maintenance projects.
  • OSHA certification and a strong understanding of workplace safety requirements.
  • Experience with scheduling software and construction management platforms.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in both office and field environments.
  • Ability to walk active construction and mining sites.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to travel to project locations as required.

Pay: $110,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
