Assistant Elementary Teacher – Sacramento, CA

Job Overview Assist with the implementation of age‑appropriate curriculum, prepare and organize learning materials, and supervise children during all activities—including meals and naptime—to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.

Responsibilities Support classroom instruction and contribute to daily lesson planning.

Prepare educational materials and set up learning stations.

Supervise children during all activities, ensuring safety and well‑being.

Help lead innovative learning activities that promote children’s development and growth.

Monitor children’s progress and record developmental milestones.

Create a harmonious environment where children and colleagues enjoy each day.

Qualifications High School Diploma or GED.

Experience in early childhood education at a certified child development center.

Prior experience with toddlers and preschool students.

Ability to use standard office equipment (laptop, tablet).

12 Child Development Units – Preferred.

Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Patience, nurturing attitude, and sincere interest in the well‑being and development of young learners.

Eligibility for CDE class sponsorship may be available for candidates driven and excited for a career in early childhood education.

Pay & Benefits Starting pay: $17.00 to $19.00 per hour, based on education and experience.
