The Everest Foundation is expanding graduate medical education (GME) across the country — opening new residency and fellowship programs and building the hospital and university network that makes that growth possible. We're hiring a Development Officer to lead that expansion: someone who can open doors with new teaching hospitals and academic institutions, build durable partnerships, shepherd new residency program applications, and advocate for the physician candidates working to secure residency.
This is a relationship-driven, mission-driven role. Success looks like new affiliations signed, new programs in the application pipeline, a growing institutional network, and stronger pathways for candidates seeking residency.
Key Responsibilities
GME Expansion & Program Development
Actively drive the opening of new residency and fellowship programs, working hand-in-hand with academic and accreditation leadership.
Support and help prepare applications for new GME programs, coordinating the documentation, partners, and approvals each program requires.
Support the development and growth of GME across the country, identifying high-potential markets and institutions for expansion.
Partnership & Network Building
Open and develop new relationships with hospitals and health systems to host and sponsor GME programs.
Build academic partnerships with universities and medical schools to support residency and fellowship development.
Create, grow, and nourish the Foundation's institutional network — turning first introductions into long-term affiliations.
Negotiate and advance the partnership agreements that underpin program expansion, in coordination with leadership and legal.
Philanthropy & Relationship Management
Manage philanthropic relationships in support of the Foundation's GME mission — cultivating and stewarding donors and funding partners.
Align partner and donor interests with program priorities and expansion goals.
Candidate Advocacy
Advocate for physician candidates seeking residency, championing access and creating pathways into newly developed programs.
Serve as a connective point between candidates, partner institutions, and the Foundation's programs.
Relationship Discipline
Maintain consistent follow-up, build genuine rapport, and sustain relationships across hospitals, universities, donors, and candidates.
Track pipeline, partnerships, and outcomes; report progress to leadership.
