Cardiac Surgery - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Syracuse, NY

St. Joseph’s Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiac Surgery program at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse, NY. This is a non operative advanced practitioner role within a collaborative cardiothoracic surgery team delivering high quality, patient centered care.

Position Details

Complete daily rounds with the Cardiothoracic Surgery (CTS) team caring for cardiac surgery patients primarily in the step down unit

Participate in one weekend per month rounding rotation with the opportunity to cross train to the ICU

Manage admissions including transfers from outside facilities and the emergency department

Finalize patient discharges including patient education, care coordination with nursing staff, rehabilitation, etc.

No call requirements

Qualifications

Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program

NYS licensure

DEA certification

ACLS/BLS

Compensation

Compensation range: $135,538-$181,792

$5,000 Starting Bonus

$5,000 Relocation Bonus (if live 50 mile outside Syracuse)
