Requirements

**Position Details for Emergency Medicine Coverage**

• **Specialty**: Emergency Medicine Physician (MD/DO)
• **Coverage Period**: July to September 2026
• **Shift Schedule**: Available shifts from 7 PM to 8 AM or 8 AM to 7 PM; candidates should specify available days in their presentation
• **Type of Privileges**: Hospital-based
• **Work Setting**: Outpatient and inpatient (Emergency Department primarily operates as outpatient)
• **Patient Demographics**: Diverse populations
• **Patient Volume**: Approximately 41 patients per day
• **Required Procedures**: Standard emergency room procedures
• **Staffing**: Solo practice, though day shifts may have Advanced Practice Provider (APP) assistance
• **Electronic Medical Record System**: EPIC

**Certification Requirements**:

• Board Certification in Emergency Medicine
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)/Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications (from American Heart Association or American Red Cross)

**Licensure**:

• Candidates must possess an active Oregon license at the time of application

**Clinical Activity Requirement**:

• Documentation of clinical activity within the last 24 months is required, including case logs that demonstrate the provision of emergency medicine services reflecting the scope and complexity of requested privileges.
