Job Title: Logistics Analyst I / Heavy Equipment Operator

Duration: 06 Months

Location: Nashville, TN, 37214

Pay Rate: $25.92/hr on W2

Working time: 8AM to 5PM CST - Monday to Friday, may require after hour or weekend support

Description:

Must Haves:

  • Previous experience in logistics/transportation preferably in air and small parcel shipping
  • Proficient at basic MS suite such as Excel
  • Communication via Outlook
  • PowerPoint for recurring reviews with freight forwarders
  • Knowledge of frequently used excel formulas
  • Self-driven, problem-solver, good communication skills, and ability to work independently

Education:

  • While candidates with completed degrees are preferred, a degree is not required to be considered for this position

Experience:

  • Preferably at least 1 year of experience

Summary:

  • Operate industrial trucks or machinery in a warehouse, storage yard, factory, construction site, or similar location.
  • Responsible for the operation of heavy machinery to safely move product load around the facility.
  • Typically has a high school diploma, a forklift operators license (for forklift operation) and experience in a production environment.
  • This may or may not be true with other heavy machinery operators.
  • The technical skills include the ability to transport production materials and goods.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • 2-4 years manufacturing experience required Responsibility level
  • Exercises moderate independent judgment with direction from supervisor

Skills:

  • Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, team player and problem-solving skills (Required)
  • Basic knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods (Required)

Major Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Inspect product load for accuracy and safely move it around the warehouse or facility to ensure timely and complete delivery
  • Move controls to drive vehicles and transport materials between loading, processing and storage areas
  • Move levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts and hoists, to load, unload, transport and stack material
  • Manually or mechanically load and unload materials from pallets, skids and boxes and secure materials or products for transport to designated areas
