HVAC Apprentice

Fresh Air Concepts is a growing, family-owned mechanical contractor serving residential and commercial customers throughout Central Maryland. We are looking for a motivated HVAC Apprentice who is eager to learn the trade from experienced technicians and installers.

No HVAC experience? No problem. We are willing to train the right candidate who has a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a desire to build a long-term career. Previous HVAC, construction, electrical, plumbing, or mechanical experience is preferred but not required.

What You'll Do

• Assist experienced HVAC technicians and installers with residential and light commercial projects.
• Learn to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC equipment.
• Load, unload, and transport tools, materials, and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety procedures and industry best practices.
• Complete training through hands-on field experience and classroom instruction as assigned.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous experience in HVAC, construction, or another skilled trade is a plus.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record preferred.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliable, dependable, and able to work well as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift and carry 50 pounds regularly.
• Must be comfortable working in tight crawl spaces, attics, and confined areas.
• Must be able to climb and work safely on ladders.
• Ability to work outdoors and indoors in hot, cold, humid, and varying weather conditions.
• Ability to stand, kneel, bend, crouch, and work overhead for extended periods.
