Responsibilities

  • Install new HVAC systems including air conditioning units, heating equipment, ventilation systems, and refrigeration components according to schematics and design specifications.
  • Perform system diagnostics using electrical diagnostics tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot mechanical systems repair issues efficiently.
  • Interpret technical schematics, HVAC design plans, and building automation system layouts to ensure precise installation and integration.
  • Conduct routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on HVAC/R equipment, boilers, refrigeration units, and property mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose electrical issues related to HVAC systems and execute repairs while adhering to EPA regulations for refrigerant handling and environmental safety.
  • Collaborate with plumbing and electrical teams to coordinate complex installations involving multiple building systems.
  • Operate welding equipment when necessary for custom fabrication or repair of mechanical components.
  • Maintain detailed service records, installation logs, and safety documentation in compliance with company policies and industry standards.

Skills

  • Proven construction experience with a strong understanding of building codes and safety protocols.
  • Service technician experience in HVAC/R or related mechanical systems is highly desirable.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans.
  • Knowledge of building automation systems (BAS) for integrated climate control solutions.
  • Mechanical knowledge encompassing refrigeration, ammonia refrigeration systems, boilers, and general equipment repair.
  • Electrical diagnostics skills including troubleshooting wiring issues with multimeters or ohmmeters.
  • Experience with plumbing installations and repairs related to HVAC systems.
  • Valid EPA certification for refrigerant handling; additional certifications such as HVAC/R or property maintenance are advantageous.
  • Ability to operate field service equipment safely and efficiently in diverse environments.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform welding or other fabrication tasks as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating drivers preferred for transportation between job sites.

Pay: $650.00 - $1,300.00 per day
