The Role
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Facilities Maintenance Manager to lead the stand-up and ongoing operation of our new ~80,000 sq. ft. flagship manufacturing facility in Cypress, CA. This site will become the primary production hub for the company.
This role is responsible for owning all aspects of facilities, and equipment maintenance across the site. You will play a critical role in bringing the factory online, partnering with construction teams, managing contractors, and building the systems and processes required to support a high-performing manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the Head of Production, you will serve as the single-threaded owner for facility operations, infrastructure reliability, and site readiness. You will also provide liaison support to our Redondo Beach site as needed.
This role requires a highly independent operator who can build, scale, and maintain systems in a fast-paced, high-growth manufacturing environment.
What You’ll Do
Facility Build-Out Contractor Management
Support the bring-up of the Cypress facility, partnering with internal stakeholders and external contractors to ensure on-time, on-budget execution
Manage construction projects, vendors, and contractors with a focus on minimal disruption to operations.
Oversee installation and commissioning of facility infrastructure (power, HVAC, compressed air, etc.)
Serve as the primary point of contact for all third-party facility-related services (construction, janitorial, utilities, etc.)
Facilities Operations Infrastructure Management
Point of contact for landlord. Responsible for up keeping compliance to Senra’s lease agreements
Own the maintenance, repair, and operation of all facility systems including building infrastructure, HVAC, electrical systems, and industrial utilities
Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs for both facility systems and production equipment
Ensure uptime, reliability, and scalability of all site infrastructure
Manage office and facility operations, including space planning and workplace functionality
Capital Planning Site Expansion
Develop and execute site improvement and expansion plans to support production growth and rate increases
Lead capital planning efforts for facility upgrades and infrastructure investments
Manage project timelines, budgets, and execution for all facilities-related capital projects
Cross-Site Support Training
Provide facilities support to the Redondo Beach site as required
Train employees on facility operations, safety procedures, and compliance standards
Build scalable processes and documentation for multi-site operations
What We’re Looking For
Required
10+ years of experience in facilities management, engineering, construction, or a related field
5+ years of direct experience in facilities management, preferably in a manufacturing or startup environment
Strong working knowledge of building systems including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and industrial utilities
Experience managing construction projects, contractors, and vendors
Experience developing and executing preventative maintenance programs
Demonstrated ability to independently manage complex projects in a fast-paced environment
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Willingness to provide on-call support for facility-related issues as needed (including off-hours)
Preferred
Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction, Industrial, or Operations
OSHA certifications (e.g., OSHA 30)
Experience in aerospace, automotive, or high-mix manufacturing environments
Experience standing up or scaling manufacturing facilities
Background in capital planning and facilities budgeting
Success in This Role Looks Like
Within 6–12 months, you will have:
Successfully supported the full bring-up and stabilization of the Cypress facility
Established reliable, scalable systems for facility operations and preventative maintenance
Ensured full compliance with all OSHA and building code requirements
Delivered key facility and infrastructure projects on time and within budget
Created clear processes and ownership for contractor management and third-party services
Enabled high uptime and reliability of facility systems to support production growth
Established repeatable systems that support multi-site operations (Cypress + Redondo)
Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors.
Salary Range: $120,000-165,000
