Material Handler

Wage: $22.58 per hour + $0.40 for 2nd Shift Premium

Shift: 2nd Shift – 3:20pm to 1:50am, Monday to Thursday. Overtime and Saturdays may be required. Training will be conducted on 1st shift for approximately 2 weeks before moving to 2nd shift.

While reporting to the Shift Supervisor, as a Material Handler you will be responsible for the safe and precise operation of heavy machinery and material handling.

2-way or 4-way depending on the customer location, using the right dunnage. Quality inspection – be able to check specs on sample provided using measuring tape.

Make sure that all documentation from the floor is completed and in the plastic envelope.

Move strips and finished goods to help with the flow of production.

Use the buddy check system to assist when loading trucks.

Help with miscellaneous assignments and general labor.

Perform tasks as assigned by supervision.

You have previous experience handling raw materials in a manufacturing setting and previous experience as a Forklift Driver.

Can safely handle all products and materials.

Can perform work under minimal supervision and handle complex issues and problems and refer only the most complex issues to higher-level staff.

Can act as a lead and provide leadership, coaching, and/or mentoring to a subordinate group.
