Customer Support Agent
Job Summary:
As a Customer Support Agent in our warehouse operations, you are essential to the effective handling of products and materials. Your role is focused on assisting with daily warehouse tasks, maintaining high inventory accuracy, preparing orders for delivery, and ensuring a safe, organized work environment.
Job Responsibilities:
Inventory and Material Handling:
- Receive and inspect incoming inventory, applying labels and reporting any discrepancies between shipments and invoices.
- Organize and store products using the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) method to ensure stock freshness.
- Select and compile items to accurately fulfill orders for products, supplies, and tools.
- Move and transport merchandise within the facility or to customer sites using hand trucks or motorized equipment.
- Perform regular inventory counts and maintain precise tracking logs, temperature checks, and spoilage reports.
Equipment and Safety:
- Operate manual or electric pallet jacks and forklifts safely following proper training.
- Comply with all safety policies, OSHA standards, and emergency protocols.
- Consistently use appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to maintain a secure work environment.
- Ensure the cleanliness and upkeep of all warehouse areas, including loading docks and common spaces.
Professionalism and Support:
- Protect the security of all client and company property.
- Interact professionally with clients, vendors, and coworkers to support a positive work culture.
- Attend required team meetings and fulfill additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
Requirements and Skills:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- A high school diploma or GED is preferred.
- Two years of experience in a warehouse environment is highly desirable.
- Solid skills in reading, writing, and basic math.
- Basic computer literacy and strong communication skills.
- Good physical coordination and the ability to operate machinery.
- A valid driver's license and a clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) may be required depending on location.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently handle loads weighing up to 35 lbs.
- Comfortable with continuous bending, pushing, pulling, and lifting activities.
- Must follow guidelines regarding the use of uniforms and safety equipment.
