Smith & Wollensky Chicago is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Office Manager to support the daily administrative operations of our iconic River North steakhouse. This full-time position plays a key role in supporting restaurant leadership, human resources, payroll administration, and office operations in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to restaurant leadership.
  • Assist with onboarding, personnel records, compliance, and HR-related functions.
  • Support payroll processing, invoicing, bookkeeping, and financial reporting.
  • Maintain accurate records and confidential employee information.
  • Coordinate office operations and administrative projects.
  • Assist with front-of-house and guest service support as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and employment practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of office management, administrative, or related experience required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
  • Experience with payroll, HR administration, or bookkeeping preferred.
  • Hospitality or restaurant industry experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of Paytronix, OpenTable, Micros, Toast, or similar systems is a plus.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
