Therapist / Speech Language Pathologist / New York / Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) / Clinical Fellow (CF) Job

An education network agency in New York City is currently seeking a licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellow (CF) for a promising opportunity at one of their Queens-based preschools.

About the Opportunity:

• Setting: Preschool
• Hours: 8:30am to 1:30pm (occasionally a later session)
• Patient Population: Pediatric OPWDD
• Patient Volume: 9 sessions per day

Responsibilities:

The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) / Clinical Fellow (CF) will:

• Provide screening and therapy services, as assigned
• Keep accurate records, including daily session notes, quarterlies, and annual progress reports
• Provide consultation on issues involving effective motor development to teaching staff and other appropriate personnel and programs
• Conference regularly with parents regarding treatment and equipment needs of their children
• Participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to develop appropriate treatment plans for assigned children
• Adapt and adjust therapeutic equipment to meet the needs of the children
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
• NYS Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
• TSSLD

Desired Skills:

• 1+ year of Speech Language Pathology experience
• Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)
• Experience working with the Pediatric population
