Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Accountant to perform a variety of accounting and financial tasks. Accountant responsibilities include Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Income Audit, Hotel Groups, assisting with Month End entries, preparing reports and assisting the Front Desk with billing issues. You will run accounting software programs to process business transactions, like accounts payable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. You will also need to be fluent with Lightspeed PMS. A successful Accountant should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for numbers. Ultimately, a successful Staff Accountant will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively. The position will also act as an assistant to the HR Department with some HR duties from time to time.

Duties

  • Provide accounting and clerical support to the Director of Finance
  • Assist the Front Desk with billing issues/corrections
  • Process AP Invoices in a timely & accurate manner
  • Process weekly check runs
  • Complete Daily Income Audit
  • Prepare Bi Weekly Payroll Journal Entry
  • Reconcile Accounts Receivable weekly- bill out new charges & place collection calls as necessary
  • Reconcile receipts for outside vendors
  • Review City, Guest & Deposit Ledgers on a Monthly Basis
  • Process chargebacks
  • Provide assistance to other Oxford Hotels & Resorts properties as needed
  • Participate with external auditors, as requested

Requirements

  • Proven accounting experience, preferably as a Staff Accountant
  • Familiarity with basic accounting procedures
  • Competency in Excel, and accounting softwares M3 & Profitsword
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • Aptitude for numbers
  • Well organized
  • High school degree
  • Associate’s degree or relevant certification is a plus

Pay: From $67,000.00 per year
