Job Summary

Duties

  • Operate heavy machinery such as excavators, dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, with skill and safety awareness
  • Drive commercial trucks including dump trucks and other construction vehicles to transport materials and equipment across job sites
  • Perform pre-operation inspections on all machinery to ensure optimal functioning and safety compliance
  • Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, paving, and other construction activities using appropriate equipment
  • Maintain accurate logs of equipment usage, maintenance needs, and transportation records
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and ensure a secure work environment
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks efficiently and meet project deadlines

Skills

  • Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy construction equipment including excavators (such as Caterpillar models), dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, water trucks, horizontal drilling rigs, tankers, and paving machinery
  • Proven experience operating heavy equipment safely on construction sites
  • Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with experience driving dump trucks and other large vehicles
  • Knowledge of construction site operations, safety standards, and equipment maintenance
  • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting on machinery to identify issues promptly
  • Familiarity with construction materials handling and transportation logistics
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors

Pay: $25.00 - $33.01 per hour
