Job Title: Vendor Management and Renewals Lead

Commercial Strategy, Renewals Contract Operations

About the Role

We are seeking a commercially minded Vendor Management and Renewals Lead to partner with Sales, Customer Experience, Finance, and Legal to drive successful customer renewals and commercial outcomes across our enterprise customer base.

This is not a traditional renewals role. We are looking for someone with a background in procurement, strategic sourcing, vendor management, commercial operations, or contract management who understands how sophisticated enterprise buyers evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage commercial risk. If you have spent your career on the buy side, this role lets you apply that exact skill set from the other side of the table.

In this role, you will serve as the primary commercial advisor on customer renewals, helping structure agreements, negotiate terms, protect revenue, and improve operational efficiency. The ideal candidate brings the mindset of the buyer and can confidently navigate complex commercial discussions while balancing customer needs with company objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as the primary commercial advisor for enterprise renewals, contract modifications, and commercial negotiations, applying the same rigor a buy side vendor manager would bring to a sourcing decision.

Partner with Sales and Customer Experience teams to develop renewal strategies that maximize retention and revenue.

Lead negotiations involving pricing, contract terms, discounts, and non standard commercial requests.

Identify renewal risks early and coordinate cross functional mitigation plans to reduce churn.

Develop customer facing business cases, ROI analyses, and value realization materials that support renewal and expansion conversations.

Coordinate closely with Finance, Legal, Revenue Operations, and Sales to drive transactions through approval and contracting processes.

Support complex enterprise agreements, including multi product renewals and custom commercial structures.

Apply vendor governance and third party risk management principles to how we manage our own customer commercial relationships.

Improve renewal forecasting, reporting, and operational processes through data, automation, and AI driven insights.

Maintain CRM accuracy and provide leadership with actionable commercial and renewal performance metrics.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Procurement (Buy Side), Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Management, or Enterprise Renewals.

Experience working within a large financial institution, bank, insurance company, payments provider, asset manager, fintech company, or similarly regulated enterprise environment.

Demonstrated experience negotiating technology, software, SaaS, cybersecurity, cloud, or professional services agreements on behalf of your organization.

Strong understanding of enterprise procurement processes, vendor governance, commercial approval frameworks, contract negotiations, and risk management practices.

Experience partnering with Legal, Finance, Security, Compliance, Risk, and Executive stakeholders during complex purchasing and renewal cycles.

Proven ability to analyze commercial proposals, pricing structures, contract language, and business terms to drive favorable outcomes.

Familiarity with supplier onboarding, vendor reviews, procurement governance, third party risk management, and contract lifecycle management processes.

Strong financial and commercial acumen with the ability to evaluate pricing models, discount structures, total cost of ownership, and business value.

Experience with Salesforce, CLM platforms, procurement systems, ERP solutions, or related commercial technology tools.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience within organizations such as major banks, insurance carriers, asset managers, payment providers, fintech companies, or Fortune 500 procurement organizations.

Experience negotiating agreements with large enterprise software, cybersecurity, cloud, identity, fraud, or infrastructure vendors.

Exposure to highly regulated environments where security, compliance, legal review, and risk management play a significant role in vendor selection and contract execution.

Why Join Us?
