Description

Position Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy center, located on Billingsley Road in Charlotte, NC. In this role, you will provide safe, effective, and high-quality patient care in both pre-procedural and post-procedural settings. The ideal candidate is patient-focused, detail-oriented, and thrives in a collaborative clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Educate patients and families before and after endoscopic procedures to ensure understanding and reduce anxiety
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing protocols
  • Monitor patient status, including vital signs and responses to treatments or procedures
  • Maintain a safe clinical environment and adhere to infection control standards
  • Assess patient conditions and promptly communicate changes to the physician and care team
  • Respond effectively to emergency situations following established protocols
  • Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout the care process
  • Accurately document all patient care in compliance with legal and medical standards
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain required competencies
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Qualifications

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
  • 1-3 years experience in perioperative, postoperative, or endoscopy settings preferred
  • Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Demands

  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include Close vision, Distance vision and Ability to adjust focus.
  • While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
