Principal Financial Analyst - Healthcare System (Hybrid | Philadelphia, PA)Engagement Type • Temp to Perm

Schedule & Location • Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

• Hybrid schedule - 2 days on-site per week
• On-site location: Philadelphia, PA

Important Candidate Note • Candidates must have experience working in a healthcare system - this is a requirement to be considered

• In addition to a resume, candidates should include samples of projects from previous roles that demonstrate their highest level of ability performing close tasks (such as creating journal entries) and financial analysis of income statements

Core Function • Lead financial analysis, reporting, and decision support for divisional leadership

• Serve as a key liaison between finance operations and senior leadership

Key Responsibilities • Own the month-end close: prepare and review entries, analyze results, and ensure accuracy

• Develop monthly reporting and executive presentations
• Perform variance analysis and provide actionable insights
• Support and help build the annual operating budget; partner with managers to review departmental performance
• Contribute to strategic planning with senior leadership

Leadership and Impact • Present in leadership forums

• Mentor junior analysts and support team development
• Drive cross-functional collaboration across finance and operations

Requirements • Bachelor's Degree required; candidates with a Master's Degree will be given preference

• Background in finance, accounting, or information technology
• 6+ years of experience in a finance department with progressive accounting and budgeting experience within a healthcare system
• Experienced user of Hyperion Essbase / Planning / Reports and EPIC

Interview Process • Two rounds

Compliance Requirements • Compliance documentation is due on the Wednesday before the start date

• Candidates must be ready to begin the compliance process immediately upon accepting the award
• Medicals and drug screens must be started within 72 hours of accepting the award
• Candidates who do not begin this requirement within 72 hours are at risk of the contract being cancelled
