The Sous Chef position at Legends Global is an essential leadership role within their culinary and stewarding departments. Acting as second in command, the Sous Chef is responsible for overseeing purchasing, receiving, and the production of food items in the absence of the Executive Chef. This role demands not only culinary expertise but also strong leadership skills to train and supervise all kitchen personnel effectively. The Sous Chef ensures flawless execution of banquet event orders and maintains food costs and budget goals aligned with company standards.
This position requires active participation in the local hospitality community and close collaboration with other departments through in-house event meetings. The Sous Chef plays a critical role in inventory control, sanitation enforcement, and compliance with safety guidelines and OSHA requirements. Moreover, the individual in this role must embody Legends Global's commitment to delivering the highest level of customer service excellence while fostering a cooperative team environment.
Additional responsibilities include organizing and maintaining equipment, ensuring storerooms are clean and secure, and following all opening and closing procedures to protect the facility’s energy efficiency and security. The role also involves flexibility and adaptability to perform various duties as assigned by management to meet staffing and performance needs.
