Class A Truck Driver

DiMare Fresh-DFW is looking for a driver with experience operating a Tractor Trailer to deliver produce in DFW and surrounding areas. Position for a Class A licensed driver, available now. Minimum 2 yrs. experience required.

Requirements:

• Must have valid CDL: Class A
• At least 2 years’ experience driving Tractor-trailers
• Must be 21 years or older
• Must have clean driving record, MVR will be checked
• Must be able to pass drug screen and criminal background check
• Must have current DOT physical certification or be able to pass one
• Must be able to meet physical requirements for handling product including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds to shoulder height or above
• Must be able to couple and uncouple trailers
• Able to operate an electric and manual pallet jack
• Must be able to read, write and speak English well enough to communicate with employees, customers and maintain written records
• Must be honest and dependable
• Must be able to deal with customers in a positive, courteous, and respectful manner
• Knowledge of the DFW area
• Must demonstrate sound work ethics
• Reefer or Produce experience is a plus
• Must be insurable under our commercial auto policy

Responsibilities:

• Make deliveries to customers in a safe and timely manner
• Meet delivery schedules
• Comply with DOT rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and Hours of service including breaks) as well as with company policies and procedures
• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions
• Collect and verify delivery instructions
• Report defects, all accidents and/or violations
• Other related duties as assigned
