The Opportunity
Halo Industries is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineering Technician to contribute to the future of Halo’s proprietary material processing equipment. This person will be detail-oriented with the ability to identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues. The candidate will work in a small team to bring new products from concept to production release.
Responsibilities
Build and modify experimental electrical and electro-mechanical devices and test fixtures for laboratory proof-of-concept projects.
Build and troubleshoot prototype surface mount and through-hole PCBAs components. Rework PCBAs with component changes, trace cut and jump
Build and troubleshoot electrical control boxes and cables using correct cutting, crimping and wire management techniques
Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical and controls systems.
Collaborate with cross functional teams – including mechanical, electrical, optical, and software engineers to resolve integration and performance issues.
Contribute to design and readiness reviews, providing feedback focused on hardware testability, manufacturability, and serviceability.
Document processes accurately, including material requests, quality issues, efficiency tracking, and measurement reporting.
Support engineers in test instrumentation and data acquisition. Assemble, perform, inspect, and document high-precision mechanical tests. Conducting experiments, prototype manufacturing, and product demonstrations as directed by R&D engineers.
Contribute to team success by mentoring and coaching new team members as needed.
