Duties
- Load and unload freight or equipment to/from trailers for receiving or shipment from the yard.
- Safely operate forklift and other equipment.
- Loading and unloading excavators from intermodal containers.
- Complete equipment inspections.
- Work alone with a limited amount of supervision.
- Be able to work outside in all reasonable weather conditions.
- Read and interpret paperwork associated with the shipping/receiving function including but not limited to; bills of lading, shipping orders, manifests, tally sheets or export documentation.
- Must have a current drivers license.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Ability to lift items of 50lbs.
Requirements
- Forklift certification
- Ability to operate forklift and various types of equipment
- Ability to communicate effectively with teammates.
- Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Must be able to self-manage/self-motivate.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Quick learner with the ability to think out of the box.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
