Duties

  • Prepare and serve a variety of beverages including coffee, espresso drinks, cocktails, and non-alcoholic options with precision and flair
  • Take customer orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, ensuring timely delivery of food and drinks
  • Provide friendly, attentive service to guests, addressing their needs and answering questions about menu items
  • Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities, while maintaining proper food safety and food handling procedures
  • Assist in food preparation and food service tasks to ensure quality standards are met
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café or bar area in compliance with food safety regulations
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction

Skills

  • Serving experience in cafés or restaurants
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with diverse guests
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for efficient order processing and sales tracking
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables or orders simultaneously without compromising quality
  • Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and accurate order totaling
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
  • Ability to perform basic food preparation tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate seamlessly with team members and interact confidently with customers

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Must have a valid Utah Food Handler Certificate and Alcohol Certificate
