Job Description
To provide family-centered, age appropriate clinical cardio pulmonary care. Utilize assessment findings in a timely manner to establish patient and family needs in collaboration with the health care team. Communicate findings in both verbal and written format. Seek personal/ professional development, assure safe operation of the life support equipment and perform other duties as required. Take a leadership role as assigned, act as a clinical resource to other departments. May precept staff after displaying proficiency. Participate in hospital / departmental committees, special projects and research. We are looking for a Part-Time Respiratory Therapist to join our Portland team.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Provided primary respiratory care to patients from admission through discharge, and charts appropriately.
•
Serves as a resource and provides education to students, interns, residents, nurses, and new employees as needed.
•
Assures safe, cost-effective operation and function of pertinent equipment and utilizes appropriate infection control techniques in all areas.
•
Seeks personal, professional development and accountability.
•
Demonstrates the ability to professionally interact and communicate appropriately with staff, patients, families, and visitors.
•
Understands overall hospital/departmental philosophy, policies and procedures and applies it to daily patient staff/interaction.
Required Qualifications:
•
Associate Respiratory Therapy
•
RT License in state of practice
•
National Registration by National Board for Respiratory Therapy
•
Basic Life Support BLS)
•
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Preferred Qualifications:
•
2 Years in ICU setting, Pediatric/Adult RT intensive care
The pay range for this position is $35.37 - $53.05. Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
