Job Description:

In your position as a Logistics Associate at Aramark, you are entrusted with vital responsibilities in maintaining the seamless flow of products through the warehouse. These responsibilities include actively participating in tasks related to inventory monitoring, order preparation, and the promotion of a safe and organized work environment.

Qualifications:

  • One must have reached the age of 18 or above
  • The ideal scenario involves applicants holding a high school diploma or GED
  • Experience working in a warehouse setting for at least two years is desired
  • Proficient abilities in reading, writing, and arithmetic are critical
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to communicate effectively through both written and verbal channels
  • Skill in using machinery with precise hand coordination
  • Skill to lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs, with regular lifting and carrying of loads up to 35 lbs
  • Possession of a valid driver's license might be necessary depending on the location, with a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check being conducted as part of the process

Physical Demands:

Responsibilities for this position could involve:

  • Lengthy durations of continuous walking and standing
  • Regularly engaging in lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling activities
  • The wearing of uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is compulsory as directed

Job Responsibilities:

  • Receive, examine, and categorize new merchandise; identify any differences between shipments and billing documents
  • Organize perishable items following the FIFO method to streamline inventory handling and reduce waste
  • Utilize or receive instruction on operating manual or electric pallet jacks and forklifts when required
  • Gather and systematize items to meet orders for products, materials, and equipment
  • Move, offload, and convey merchandise within the storage facility or to customer sites utilizing either carts or motorized vehicles
  • Conduct routine stock assessments as scheduled
  • Ensure thorough completion of documentation tasks such as inventory records, temperature monitoring, spoilage tracking, and equipment assessments, whether in physical or electronic formats
  • Look after the cleanliness and tidiness of warehouse sectors, such as bathrooms, break rooms, loading docks, and elevated platforms
  • Adhere to safety protocols, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, Safety Data Sheet (SDS) recommendations, and protocols for emergencies
  • Remember to employ suitable Personal Protective Attire (PPA) as per regulations
  • Guarantee the protection of client and company assets
  • Establish professional communication with clients, coworkers, suppliers, and visitors
  • Participate in scheduled meetings and carry out any additional tasks as required
