Veterinary Technician – Spay/Neuter Clinic

Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Veterinary Technician to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, calm under pressure, and comfortable working in a high‑volume surgical environment. Experience in anesthesia and surgical prep is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities - Assist veterinarians with pre‑operative exams, surgical prep, and recovery - Safely induce, monitor, and recover patients under anesthesia - Perform catheter placement and medication administration - Maintain accurate medical records and patient flow - Provide compassionate handling and care for dogs and cats - Clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and equipment - Support post‑operative client communication and discharge instructions - Uphold clinic safety, sanitation, and animal‑handling protocols Qualifications - Licensed/Certified Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT) preferred - Experience with anesthesia monitoring strongly preferred - Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work on your feet for extended periods - Strong communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset - Comfort working in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment - Passion for animal welfare and spay/neuter initiatives What We Offer - Competitive pay based on experience - Paid time off and holiday schedule - Opportunities for continuing education - Supportive, mission‑driven team culture - Predictable daytime hours (no nights, no on‑call)
