Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and attentive Safety Attendant/Front Desk professional who must reside onsite to ensure the safety, security, and smooth operation of our facility. This vital role involves managing front desk responsibilities, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and contractors. The ideal candidate will be energetic, organized, and possess strong communication skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently while creating a welcoming atmosphere. Duties
- Maintains an inventory of vacancies, reservations and room assignments.
- Possesses a working knowledge of the reservations department. Takes same day reservations and future reservations when necessary. Knows cancellation procedures.
- Knows room locations, types of rooms available, and room rates.
- Registers arriving guests and assigns rooms.
- Coordinates room status updates with the housekeeping department by notifying housekeeping of all check- outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, special requests, and part-day rooms
. Coordinates guest room maintenance work with the engineering and maintenance division.
- Uses persuasive selling techniques to sell rooms and to promote other services of the hotel.
- Knows daily activities and meetings taking place in the hotel.
- Reports any unusual occurrences or requests to the manager or assistant manager.
- Manages and resolves all guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Processes guest check-outs and handles monetary transactions.
- Maintains customers’ privacy.
- Maintains a high level of professional appearance and demeanor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in front desk operations or office management with strong organizational skills
- Excellent computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), Google Workspace, and data entry systems
- Prior clerical experience with attention to detail in proofreading and document management
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to handle multiple phone lines and communicate effectively via phone etiquette
- Bilingual abilities are highly preferred to serve diverse populations effectively
- Experience with office management software such as QuickBooks is a plus
- Ability to manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in administrative tasks
- Personal assistant or calendar management experience is advantageous for supporting daily operations
