Purpose of the Position:
This role exists to support student and alumni career success by connecting them with employment opportunities and equipping them with essential job-readiness skills. It builds and maintains employer relationships while providing guidance on resumes, interviewing, and professional presentation. Additionally, the role ensures access to practical training opportunities by securing externship and clinical placement sites. Its impact strengthens career outcomes, enhances program value, and supports successful transitions from education to the workforce.
What you’ll do:
Career Placement Support – Assist students and graduates in securing employment aligned with their field of study or skill set by identifying opportunities, coordinating interviews, and supporting successful job placements.
Student Career Coaching – Provide individualized guidance on interview techniques, workplace expectations, and professional readiness to help students confidently transition into the workforce.
Employer Partnership Development – Build and maintain relationships with employers and hiring managers to generate job leads, create placement opportunities, and expand hiring pipelines within assigned regions.
Externship Coordination Support – Engage with externship and practicum sites to facilitate required documentation, while collaborating with coordinators and site administrators to ensure a smooth student experience and transition to employment.
Performance Compliance Management – Develop and execute plans to achieve placement goals, consistently meet or exceed performance metrics, and ensure all activities and documentation comply with institutional, federal, and accreditor standards.

Required Skills/Experience:
Experience in education, career services, employment staffing, out placement services, executive search, or related field.
Knowledge of different application processes and expectations.
Experience overcoming graduate (or equivalent customer) obstacles.
Skills – organization, communication/interpersonal skills, attention to detail, teamwork, and time management.
Ability to professionally communicate fluently in verbal and written English.
Preferred Requirements:
Any degree or equivalent experience and/or strong or advanced proficiency in any of the above required skills/experience.
Knowledge of the Career Service Advisor role.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other business tools such as Microsoft Teams.
Other skills or abilities – influence, comfortability communicating with all levels of an organization, punctual, disciplined, complex problem-solving, attention to detail, and motivation.
Compliance:
Demonstrate knowledge of and carefully follow all applicable federal and state compliance requirements and regulations including those prescribed by the U.S. Department of Education, accrediting agencies, state regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
Effectively communicate compliance requirements to other staff as appropriate and quickly escalate any compliance concerns to the Compliance department.
Participate in activities including, but not limited to, student recruitment activities and/or activities related to securing financial aid. Required only for positions covered by Title IV.
Work Environment/Physical Demands:
This is a remote position.
Home office set up, quiet place to work, and ability to hard wire into high-speed internet connection.

Flexibility to work evenings and weekends, as needed.
