About the Opportunity:

An established community health organization in the Boston area is seeking a full-time Dental Hygienist to join its collaborative dental team. This position provides preventive and periodontal dental care while educating patients on maintaining lifelong oral health. The ideal candidate enjoys working with diverse patient populations and is committed to delivering compassionate, high-quality care in a mission-driven environment.

What You'll Do

  • Perform dental cleanings, periodontal therapy, scaling and root planing, fluoride treatments, and sealants.
  • Conduct periodontal assessments, oral health evaluations, and oral cancer screenings.
  • Take dental radiographs and maintain accurate electronic clinical records.
  • Educate patients on preventive oral health and proper home care techniques.
  • Assist with infection control, sterilization, and operatory preparation.
  • Monitor dental supplies and maintain clinical inventory.
  • Participate in community outreach and oral health education initiatives.
  • Collaborate with dentists and the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.
  • Active Massachusetts Dental Hygienist license in good standing.
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
  • One or more years of clinical dental hygiene experience preferred.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality care.
  • Ability to work effectively with patients from diverse cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds.
