Janitorial Worker

Overview:

We are looking for an experienced janitor to fill a vital spot in our staff. We need a reliable and skilled individual who understands the importance of their role in maintaining the sanitation and hygiene of our facilities. The applicant we would like to give this opportunity to should have strong communication skills, be able to multitask and prioritize duties, and possess both a proactive and reactive mindset. We like to keep our environment tidy and very well-organized. We expect our future janitor to take responsibility for helping us achieve and maintain a high standard of cleanliness.

Responsibilities:

• Clean building floors (Mopping, scrubbing, sweeping)
• Clean all pedicure chairs and manicure stations
• Clean, service, and resupply restrooms
• Wipe down all countertops, mirrors and other surfaces
• Gather and empty all indoor trash
• Maintain cleanliness of the bar and supply the client drink refrigerators
• Move equipment, supplies, and furniture
• Maintain the organization of the storage and break rooms
• Wash, dry, and put away towels
• Keep the hot towel machine supplied and prepared
• Refill and prepare supplies such as nail files, pedicure bowl liners, foam sandals, lotions, etc. for use in services
• Inform managers about required repair and maintenance as well as necessity for any supplies
• Maintain tools and equipment needed for your duties
• These tasks MUST be completed on your daily shift. As clients leave, please make sure to wipe down the sign in/check out tablets, as well as pedicure and manicure stations. Repeat the tasks as needed until the end of your shift. Everything must be presentable for the next day.***

Requirements:

• Must have proven working experience as a Cleaner/Janitor
• Must know and follow sanitation procedures and organization
• Must be able to respond and act quickly
• Must have strong communication and multitasking skills
• Must have knowledge of cleaning equipment, chemicals, and supplies
• Must be able to complete tasks with minimal supervision
