Accounting Manager

Our client, a manufacturer in the energy space, is looking for an Accounting Manager. This individual will support to the CFO and oversee a staff of two on the financial and accounting activities of the company. Duties include:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and timely month-end closing
• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
• Oversee cost accounting functions: monitor product costs, variance analysis, inventory valuation, and margin reporting
• Develop and maintain standard costs and ensure accuracy of the bill of materials (BOM) and labor rates
• Oversee product standard cost integrity, new stock code generation and cost generation, develop systemic reporting solutions, & responsible for variance analysis
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management processes
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors and tax advisors

Requirements

• 6+ years experience including management experience
• Bachelor’s Degree required
• Cost Accounting experience required
