Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Psychotherapist/Social Worker to join our team.The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mental health counseling and be skilled in various therapeutic techniques.This role involves providing support to individuals and families facing challenges, conducting comprehensive assessments, and developing personalized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique needs.The psychotherapist/ Worker will work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure comprehensive care and support for clients.Responsibilities Conduct intake assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs.Provide psychotherapy and counseling services using techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing, and crisis intervention.Offer individual, group, and family counseling focusing on the unique dynamics of each family unit.Manage cases effectively, ensuring clients receive appropriate resources and support.Facilitate group therapy sessions to promote peer support and shared experiences among clients.Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations, including ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding.Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for clients with developmental disabilities or mental health challenges.Engage in crisis management strategies to assist clients during critical situations.Conduct research related to behavioral health practices and contribute to clinical research initiatives.Provide direct support to clients in various settings, including outpatient clinics, hospitals, or inpatient facilities.ExperienceCandidates should have a background in counseling/social work with experience in the following areas:Psychotherapy techniques, including psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and behavioral therapy.Working with diverse populations, including children, geriatrics, individuals with autism, and those facing addiction issues.Familiarity with medical terminology and patient assessment protocols.Experience in crisis intervention and management within clinical settings.Knowledge of special education practices as they relate to social work.Telehealth experience is preferred for remote counseling capabilities.The ideal candidate will demonstrate a commitment to professional development and possess strong communication skills necessary for effective client interaction.Job Types:Full-time, Part-time, Contract Pay:$69,788.36 - $90,000.00 per year Benefits:Flexible schedule Health insurance Paid time off Work Location:Hybrid remote in Washington, DC 20002.
