We’re currently seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT/LVT/CVT) to join our team in a full-time capacity. This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $23–$30/hour , based on experience, with opportunities for overtime . What You’ll Do : Practice to the Full Capacity of Your License
As an RVT at EMRVC, you’ll be a true clinical partner to our veterinarians, supporting patient care, diagnostics, and client education. Responsibilities include:
Clinical Patient Care
Induce and monitor anesthesia, perform endotracheal intubation
Perform dental prophylaxis and take dental radiographs
Administer injectable, oral, and topical medications
Collect and process blood, urine, fecal, and cytology samples
Place IV catheters, administer fluid therapy
Assist in surgical prep, monitoring, and recovery
Manage hospitalized patients and maintain treatment protocols
Diagnostics Imaging
Capture high-quality radiographs
Conduct in-house lab testing (hematology, urinalysis, cytology)
Assist with advanced diagnostics and specialty referrals
Client Communication Education
Provide compassionate client education on medications, treatments, and preventive care
Deliver discharge instructions and follow-up recommendations
Build trusted relationships with pet owners
Regulatory, Safety Compliance
Maintain accurate medical records and controlled drug logs
Follow OSHA and COMAR regulations
Contribute to hospital cleanliness and biosecurity standards
Leadership Collaboration
Mentor veterinary assistants and support staff
Contribute ideas to improve workflow and patient care

Scrub Allowance: Eligible on the first day
Paid Holidays: Six paid holidays (eligible on first day)
Paid Time Off: Forty hours first year (accrued)
Health Insurance: (medical, dental, vision): Single and Family, first of the month after sixty days of employment

What You Bring to the Team
Current Maryland RVT license – or an active RVT license from another state with a commitment to obtain Maryland licensure within 6 months of hire
A minimum of two years of hands-on experience in a clinical veterinary setting, with demonstrated proficiency in surgical assistance, dental prophylaxis, and radiology
Passion for veterinary medicine and a desire to grow professionally
Positive attitude, reliability, and strong communication skills
Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting without compromising care
Ability to lift and or carry up to 50 lbs frequently
Ability to walk, stand, and bend for sustained periods
Ability to use hands and arms to handle and position animals, materials, and equipment
