DSP HIRING EVENT - Staten Island

AHRC NYC is holding a HIRING EVENT for Full -Time and Per-Diem Direct Support Professionals (DSP) for their STATEN ISLAND Group home residences.

DATE & TIME : THURSDAY July 02, 2026 from 10AM-1PM

LOCATION : Recruiter will provide specific address to qualified candidates.

PAY RATE : $20-$20.36 per hour based on driving status .

POSITIONS TO BE FILLED:

Full-Time 40hr Evening Shifts: 3pm -11pm or 2pm-10pm ... Drivers License Required. In addition, these position comes with a generous Benefit package which includes Free Medical Insurance for you and Family members. See additional Benefit information below.

Per-Diem: All shifts....Day, Evening and Overnight positions. Drivers License Not Required! Benefits not included!

Weekend availability needed for most positions!

Responsibilities:

The oversight of all safety and health considerations

Promoting skill development, interests, and hobbies

Assisting with Adult Daily Living skills (ADLs)

Other personalized responsibilities including cooking, cleaning, hygiene, etc.

Personal or Professional experience supporting People with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) preferred.

Professionalism; integrity; excellent communication skills. Patience is a MUST!

Willingness to support people's preferences for community, activities, work, leisure activities, the exercise of their rights etc. in various settings.

Ability to use a computer for data entry.

High school education/GED, highly preferred.
