Human Resources Manager
Position Type: Full-time
Son of a Saint is searching for a level‑headed, detail‑oriented, and proactive Human Resources professional to join the organization’s growing team.
Son of a Saint exists to enhance the lives of fatherless boys through mentorship, emotional support, development of life skills, exposure to constructive experiences and formation of positive, lasting peer‑to‑peer relationships. Son of a Saint equips boys with the tools they need to become productive men. The Human Resource Manager will work closely with the CEO and COO/CFO to lead and direct the routine human resources functions including: managing the hiring & onboarding process for new employees, bridging employee and management relations, and developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with Son of a Saint’s organizational strategy.
Talent Management
Partners with the senior leadership team to understand and execute Son of a Saint’s human resource and talent strategy particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning
Manages the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants; Provides guidance and best practices on employee performance reviews
Recommends, develops and implements learning and development opportunities for employees
Employee Relations
Advises team leaders on best practices for managing employee interpersonal conflicts
Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law
Familiarity with HR software (ADP Workforce Now preferred)
A minimum of 5 years of experience in an HR role required; management experience a plus
Bachelor’s degree required; HR certifications or advance degrees preferred, but not required
