We are seeking a highly trustworthy, detail-oriented Bookkeeper to support the financial and operational needs of a business owner overseeing multiple companies and investment ventures. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys working across different business units, and can act as a dependable right hand in managing day-to-day accounting, reporting, and administrative financial tasks.

This is not a traditional single-entity bookkeeping role, you will support a diverse portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Multi-Entity Accounting Support

  • Maintain and support bookkeeping across multiple business entities and accounts
  • Assist with monthly financial close processes for various business units
  • Ensure accurate coding and classification of transactions across entities

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Review, code, and process vendor invoices across multiple businesses
  • Ensure timely payment of obligations
  • Match invoices to supporting documentation (POs, contracts, receipts when applicable)
  • Communicate with vendors regarding payment status or discrepancies

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Prepare and issue customer invoices across business units
  • Monitor collections and follow up on outstanding balances
  • Record payments and reconcile customer accounts
  • Respond to billing questions and resolve discrepancies professionally

Reconciliations & Reporting

  • Perform bank and credit card reconciliations for multiple accounts
  • Support monthly reporting and financial tracking for business owner review
  • Assist with maintaining clean, organized financial records across entities

Property / Operational Support (as needed)

  • Assist with basic property-related bookkeeping and expense tracking
  • Support organization of financial documentation for various business ventures
  • Help improve processes and financial organization across entities

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping or accounting support experience (multi-entity experience strongly preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks (or similar accounting software)
  • High level of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail
  • Comfortable working across multiple business types and priorities
  • Strong communication skills and professional discretion are essential
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines
