CNC Lathe Machinist-First Shift

CTR Group is seeking a CNC Lathe Machinist for a Precision Machine Shop and Metal Fabrication Company in the Norfolk, VA area. Immediate opening and urgently hiring! Pay Range: $20 - $28 per Hour plus Benefits. 1st Shift 6am-2pm REQUIREMENTS:Sets and adjusts machining controls with minimal assistanceUse edge finders, indicators, and probes to establish machine work offsetsProduces precision parts that meet engineering specificationsReads and interprets engineering and manufacturing drawings with working knowledge of GD&TAccurately follows set up sheets and applies best practicesApplies optimal cutting techniques, speeds and feedsDetects malfunctions or tolerance issues and communicates findingsVerifies conformance of parts using standard measuring toolsPerforms through first-part inspections of moderate to complex parts.Consistently meets or exceeds job standard times & communicates proactively when delays occurMaintains accurate records or parts counts and required documentation CTR Group has been a leader in its industry for over 35 years and is rated highly on Google, Indeed and Facebook for being a great company to work for.
