Entry Level Warehouse Worker

Job Description:

At Aramark, the Entry Level Warehouse Worker plays an important role in supporting the efficient and accurate movement of products within the facility. This position assists with warehouse operations, inventory control, order preparation, and maintaining a clean, safe, and secure work environment.

Qualifications:

• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older
• High school diploma or GED is preferred
• Previous warehouse experience of at least two years is preferred
• Basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics
• Basic computer knowledge
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to operate tools and equipment with good hand-eye coordination
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and frequently handle items weighing up to 35 lbs
• A valid driver’s license may be required at certain locations, with a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check conducted

Physical Demands:

This role may involve:

• Extended periods of walking and standing
• Repetitive lifting, bending, pushing, and pulling
• Wearing uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by safety policies

Job Responsibilities:

Responsibilities at Aramark locations may vary based on client needs and operational requirements. Core duties may include:

• Receive, inspect, and sort incoming products; report discrepancies between shipments and invoices
• Rotate and store perishable items using FIFO inventory practices
• Operate manual or electric pallet jacks and forklifts after receiving proper training
• Select and organize products, materials, and equipment to fulfill orders
• Load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse or to designated locations using carts or powered equipment
• Complete scheduled inventory counts accurately and on time
• Maintain accurate documentation including inventory logs, temperature checks, spoilage records, and equipment inspections
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas including loading docks, break rooms, restrooms, and storage spaces
• Follow all safety policies, OSHA regulations, SDS guidelines, and emergency procedures
• Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment to ensure workplace safety
• Protect company and client assets at all times
• Interact professionally with clients, coworkers, vendors, and visitors
• Attend meetings and perform additional duties as assigned
