Summary:
Join our dedicated team as an Emergency Medical Technician Level I, where you will provide urgent and emergent patient care under the guidance of a physician, physician's assistant, or registered nurse.
Work Schedule: Full Time Rotating
Responsibilities:
- Perform essential technical procedures, including establishing IV access, collecting specimens, providing wound care, and safely transporting patients.
- Assist healthcare professionals during various medical procedures such as examinations, minor surgical interventions, orthopedic treatment, and resuscitation efforts.
- Report any abnormal assessment findings or changes in patient conditions to the medical/nursing staff promptly.
- Contribute to maintaining patient flow while ensuring patient rooms are clean, well-stocked, and organized.
- Utilize critical thinking skills and make decisive judgments while working independently in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
- Minimum Required Education: High School Diploma or GED.
- Required Licensure/Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider certification and relevant life support certifications. Current State Licensure as an EMT-B with IV certification or EMT-I.
- Minimum Experience: None required.
- BLS Certification must be from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer, valid upon hiring.
The pay range for this position is $19.10 - $24.83 per hour, based on the applicant's relevant experience.
